The artist had to label it
otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to tell it was Spain.
Or, you know, male.

That awful picture of England with pedobear says Kuma. It's Hiragana for bear.
ohh, ok, I thought the “ku” was the beginnings of a speech bubble ^^;
Sorry for the confusion, people.

I recently looked at your fanfic review of that 9/11 story. I was a little surprised about your reaction towards Obama's appearance. Is it really that bad to include a real person in a fanfic? I understand if it's something like Cameron/Obama (which I found once), but I don't really understand what would be bad about featuring Catherine the Great, Cleopatra, etc (unless there's some hardcore biased politics involved). I just want to understand so I don't make an embarrassing mistake someday.

What really made it so horrible was the fact that, not only was the fanfiction using a touchy subject like 9/11 for yaoi, but then it threw in the President, who is a political figure, into the mix too. Then, on top of that, the writer starts talking about political issues, involving the president (which did have some very biased statements in them) without doing any research whatsoever. If you’re going to put a historical figure into your writing, do some research, write tastefully, and I’m sure it will be an awesome piece of writing. Otherwise, it looks pretty crappy.
Hope this cleared everyhting up~
